About Dr. East
Dr. East was born and raised in Metro-Detroit and was in 5th grade when she decided she wanted to become a dentist. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan. After graduation, she added another year of education to her repertoire with an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Degree, provided by Tufts University, Maine Medical Center, and Community Dental. Before returning to Michigan in 2020, she was working as an associate dentist in Portland, Maine. She purchased Jim Voltattorni’s office in 2020 and is enthusiastic about serving the people of Grand Ledge and its surrounding communities.
On the personal side, Dr. East is happily married. Her kids fill the day with adventure and laughter. She enjoys watching them grow!
About Dr. Berkemeier
Dr. Berkemeier hails from Jackson, MI and is thrilled to be able to serve the wider community where she was raised and where her passion for dentistry was fostered.
She is excited to join our community here at Positive Family Dentistry, providing high quality care with patient comfort in mind.
She graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and from University of Michigan with a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Berkemeier prioritizes staying up to date with continuing education, study clubs, and Michigan Dental Association. In her free time, she enjoys helping on her parents’ farm, hiking, playing pickleball, and getting back into the golf game she loves. As a classically trained violinist, she plans to join her new community orchestra as part of a greater goal of sharing arts with others.
